Our Programs

​Infant Room: Childcare is available year round for ages 6 weeks to 1 year from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Toddler Room: Childcare is available year round for ages 1 year to 3 years from 7:00 AM to 6:00PM.
Preschool: We offer preschool for children ages 3-5 years old. The class meets Monday thru Thursday from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

Childcare Program: We offer childcare between the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We offer before school and after school, during school vacation, and half days.You can choose full time or part time hours.
Summer Childcare: We use our 4 classrooms in the summer to separate the children by age groups. Each classroom has a topic of learning for each week.
Closings
When there is severe snow, or unexpected weather issues, our closings will be displayed on WFSB Channel 3. Closings will also be shown on this website on the homepage. The Canterbury Children's Academy closes for two full weeks throughout the year, along with the major holidays. We are closed for the week between Christmas and New Years, and one week in August to completely clean and renovate the daycare.

The following holidays we are closed: New Years Eve, New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and the day after, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

ABOUT US
Canterbury Children’s Academy, Inc was established in August of 2004 and is owned by Bonny Young. With 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, I set out to open a center for children ages 6 months to 12 years old. Each age grouping has their own room with highly qualified teachers and teacher assistants.

Our philosophy is based on the belief that every child is unique and every child learns in a way unique to oneself. Our mission is to provide the best learning environment for the whole child from social and emotional, physical, cognitive,language to their parents, siblings, friends, health/nutrition and family.
The programs promote a positive, supportive,nurturing environment with developmentally appropriate activities for every age. In addition to Summer Programs, we at the Canterbury Children’s Academy, Inc. offer childcare for children 1 to 12 years old M-F from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. During the school year we offer a Infant program for ages 6 weeks to 1 year, Toddler Program for ages 1-3 years, a Preschool program for children 3-5 years old and a Before and After-school program for children 5-12 years old.
